Giving Back

As Darkness Warmth Press grows, part of its purpose will be to let warmth travel beyond the page. The aim is simple: where these books create something, some of that good should be carried outward.

Foundation of Care

A portion of future profits will be set aside to support animal welfare causes. This will depend on the growth and profitability of the press, but the intention is built into the foundations from the beginning.

Animal Welfare

One cause close to the heart of Darkness Warmth Press is animal rescue and sanctuary work. We hope to support work that provides safety, care, and a life beyond harm for those who cannot speak for themselves. Their work reflects the kind of quiet compassion this press hopes to honour as it grows. This is not presented as an official partnership. It is a statement of intention: that future success should help support those who protect the vulnerable, the voiceless, and the forgotten through ongoing respect and care.

What We Stand For

The legacy of Darkness Warmth Press is not only about books. It is about the kind of space we hope to build around them.

We are a neurodivergent-led press, shaped by different rhythms of thought, feeling, memory, obsession, and imagination. That matters. So many strange, powerful, necessary stories come from people who have spent their lives feeling outside the expected shape of the world.

We also stand firmly with the LGBTQ+ community. Darkness Warmth Press is intended to be a home for the strange, the haunted, the marginalised, the compassionate, the furious, the grieving, and the hopeful.

Our stories may walk through horror, grief, folklore, ruin, violence, and shadow — but the press itself is built on warmth. On kindness. On creative freedom. On the belief that people deserve to be seen, heard, and allowed to make something lasting from what they have survived.

That, more than anything, is the legacy we hope to leave.
